ROLL AT EuroGames!
Vienna Roller Derby will be welcoming you to the first ever Roller Derby tournament at EuroGames!
We will organise two Tripleheaders on Thursday and Friday and two special games on Saturday.
You can participate as a team or as an individual.
Teams have to roster a minimum of 11 and maximum of 17 skaters. Every skater must register individually and indicate which team they are part of. Bench crew doesn’t have to register and can be communicated later.
If you want to participate as an individual skater, please don’t forget to inform us about your position and experience, so we can build teams accordingly.
Please note that we will do our best to match teams/individuals according to their level, but cannot foresee the range of registrations.
The games will be played according to WFTDA rules & regulations (https://rules.wftda.com/) and they will have 2x30min periods, with a 15min halftime break.

If you’ve never heard of Roller Derby, here’s a short introduction to our awesome sport:
Roller derby is an action-packed, full-contact sport on roller skates in which 2 teams race counter-clockwise on an oval track and try to score points by outrunning the opposing team. Worldwide, the team sport is largely played by FLINTA* individuals. (FLINTA* is an acronym that stands for female, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, trans and agender persons, the asterisk represents all non-binary gender identities).
The sport itself has its origins in the USA in the 1930s and has been actively played in Europe since 2006.

REGISTRATION
We recommend that the team captains register first and create the team name. Then the team members can be invited to the team.
If you are a team captain and an athlete too you do not have to register as an athlete for the team competition cause you can do that already as team captain.
