BADMINTON
Hit the feathered shuttles!
The Badminton section of Sportverein Aufschlag Wien with the support of the Austrian and Viennese Badminton Federation is proud and excited to welcome you to the badminton competition of the EuroGames Vienna 2024.
The tournament will be offered in Levels A, B+, B-, C+ and C- with a round robin and knockout stage, whereby each competitor is guaranteed a minimum of three matches per event. Competitions for singles, doubles and mixed doubles will be organised over the course of the three tournament days.
- Wednesday July 17, 2024 – Singles
- Thursday July 18, 2024 – Mixed Doubles
- Friday July 19, 2024 – Doubles
Matches in all categories and levels will be played with feather shuttlecocks and follow the competition rules of the Badminton World Federation. The matches for medals (final and the match for 3rd place) will be refereed.
Please indicate your skill level accurately so that we can organise a fair and exciting tournament for all participants. You can use the following description to help assess your competition level:
- A: International- and national-team level
- B+: Competitive level with extensive tournament experience
- B-: Competitive level with tournament experience
- C+: Recreational level with some tournament experience.
- C-: Recreational level with no or very limited tournament experience
Note that for registering to play in the doubles tournament you must already have a partner and indicate their first and last name and Email address. Registration without a partner (“blind date”) is not possible.
In case of insufficient registrations for any given competition, the organisers reserve the right to merge levels or offer the participants the option to participate in another competition. The players will be informed via Email should this be the case.

REGISTRATION
We recommend that the team captains register first and create the team name. Then the team members can be invited to the team.
If you are a team captain and an athlete too you do not have to register as an athlete for the team competition cause you can do that already as team captain.
